What can you do for chronic sinusitis?

Is there some sort of surgery that can help?

You can go to your doctor for sinus treatments. There is a surgery for sinus trouble but sometimes it will make a bad problem even worse. I would try everything else possible before taking a drastic step to surgery. Get your doctor to refer you to any kind of specialist you need for treatment.

Chronic sufferers can benefit from use of nasal rinses to flush and keep bacteria out; a 'neti pot' can be purchased OTC to help flush the sinus with a soothing solution, or try a humidifier. Surgery can help if there is a deviation in the septum that is causing infections.

There are several things that can be done. First, get rid of any allergens (like carpets or cats ). Then, try an allergy pill. You can also add on pseudoephedrine 60 mg. the biggest change lately seems to be coming from users of netti Pots. Because this is likely viral, antibiotics are not part of this.

Surgery should only be considered as a last resort, most cases can be successfully treated medically, but a otolaryngologist my suggest functional endoscopic sinus surgery to clear the sinuses

No, you can not get surgery for this. You will just have to prevent sinus by eating healthy and exercising often.

True chronic sinusitis is a relatively uncommon disease; more likely, when something is wrong, it is chronic rhinitis, not chronic sinusitis.
