Most treatments for tendinosis just relieve the symptoms and don't fix the underlying problem. The treatment you've likely been given by a physician is simply NSAIDS like Tylenol or aspirin combined with initial rest followed by easing into a exercise regimen. While time is probably the best medicine, you could try taking vitamin E supplements to speed the healing.

I've always applied the R. I. C. E. technique <(R)est (I)ce (C)ompress (E)levate> and benefited. However, I've been told by my doctor that there is an ultrasonic device you can purchase to use at home. A less expensive solution is the radiant heat energy pad - very nice! It's still expensive, but not as high as the ultrasonic devices would run you.

The best treatments are taking an anti-inflammatory, ice compress and avoiding repeditive motion of the affected area. The use of a brace also helps to reduce motion.

Stretching is the best thing you can do to get rid of pain. Also application of cream can be done on the area and ensure that you take rest. If the pain is severe than consult a doctor and take some pain killers.
