Your fridge's compressor may be shot. The clicking sound is the relay switch trying to start your compressor and it will not start. It may also be over heated. Your best bet is to call a repairman.

There could be any number of reasons for a clicking sound. The ice machine could be frozen and clicking as its trying to make ice. The fan that circulates air could be hitting something. The compressor will make a clicking noise when it kicks on, it could also be binding on something.

It could be a few things. Compressors sometimes click when dying. If you have an icemaker, a cube could be stuck. Also, the defrost timer makes a clicking noise.
