Some people hiccup in their sleep when they are hungry. If you eat an adequate diet, you may stop hiccuping. If you have a lot of stress, you may hiccup in your sleep. If those two causes do not apply to you, you may have some breathing difficulty during your sleep which is decreasing airflow.

Allwys keep water aside, when you go to sleep. in the sleep, if you get hiccups, either you hold your nose for seconds, or you drink water. mostly this is seen among the kids,k between 5-10.
