Ligament repair in cats can be a difficult and expensive surgery. Most commonly they will do a cruciate repair. If the vet doesn't think surgery is required most likely they will prescribe non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication and a specified rest period, including confinement.

This injury repair on its own, but may not. You need a vet, you need to make the decision to have surgery or to just see if Puss can heal.

Ligaments can be tougher to repair than bones but the care is similar. If repair is not successful often amputation will be offered as an alternative to a dangling and useless limb. If the torn ligament is in the spine or neck area often the vertebrae can be fused to save the life of the cat.

Ligament repair is a lot like it sounds. It's a surgery to repair ligament inefficiency. They are pretty successful if done correctly.

I can't tell you anything about repairing cat ligaments because I am not at liberty to reveal such important things.
