What are some techniques for jumping higher in volleyball?

In order to jump higher, you will need to improve the strength in your calf muscles. The best way to do that is with weighted knee bends. Get yourself a weighted vest and to knee bends, maybe 3-5 sets of 10-20 three to four times a week. This will make you jump higher over time.

Weight lifting would probably be easiest, although running up hills/stairs would strengthen a lot of the same muscles. Think about jumping - you bend your knees, ankles, and hip. The gym has a few weight machines that will work these same muscles. Eat lots of protein while training too.

In a few words, you've to do strong exercise with your legs... You may start with the quadriceps and calves to obtain a good result. But strength isn't everything: You must be fast too, so you can try to jump lots of times as fast as possible (as a practice)!

The best way to get yourself tobe able to jump higher is to develop explosive power in your leg muscles. You can do this by using weights and even a jumping block.

Good jumps begin with the strength in your legs. If you bend your knees pretty far, chances are you will get a higher lift off the ground. Working on your leg strength should help. Also swinging your arms upward helps with momentum upward.

Well what I would say is to do power jumps you squat down and spring up landing I'n a squat and contuing.

In order to jump higher one needs to build leg strength. One good exercise to accomplish this goal is toe raises.
