Anything peaceful makes a good tankmate for a plecostomus. This includes tetras and non-territorial cichlids such as angelfish or discus. Remember that plecos can become very large!

Plecos are great fish for nearly any tank. They keep to themselves and just clean the algae and gunk from your aquarium. Regular community fish (tetras, barbs, whatever) get along with them just fine.
