Constantly compliment them. It can become annoying because they will refuse your words, but the more someone hears something the more they believe it. Also, make it believable, not just something commonly said, something personal and unique to the individual.

Helping someone with poor self-image can be tricky. One of the best things to do is to help them find things that they are good at. When they find their talent they will have things they can feel well about. Make sure and complement them when they do a good job.

Poor self image is incredibly hard to fight. Just remind them how awesome you think they are and help them to believe it. They can practice thinking out loud positive thoughts about them self while looking in a mirror. Positive thinking can be important, too. Show them as much love as you can.

That's a tough one. Sometimes just telling a person they're great won't work. It's important to figure out WHY they feel bad about themselves or what they feel negatively about. Usually if you address their specific self-esteem concerns (appearance, public speaking, etc) you'll get farther than if you attempt to fix it with compliments.
