employment

What should I do about an employee with a poor attitude?

They're not performing poorly enough to be fired, but they're barely doing the work.

Give the employee an ultimatum. Do not fire them immediately but say if their performance does not shape up then they will be fired. If the performance doesn't change then at that point I would fire them. At least you made them aware and gave them a chance and they chose not to change.

The way you fix that is to barely pay them. "Gee, im sorry---the payroll department just isnt performing well---your check is not ready yet. sorry"
