A basic training course will often correct a variety of behavioral problems with dogs. Once the dog has learned to respond to basic commands like sit and come you can teach him more advanced commands such as "off" which could be used to keep him from jumping on counters.

The best way to get your dogs to stop jumping on the counters is to put something on your counters to block them from jumping up there (so there's no space for the dog to jump onto anymore)

Push them off and shake their neck. The dogs mother usually did this when the dog was a puppy so he'll understand that he did something wrong.

Traditional dog training recommends that when your dogs jump on the counters that you immediately scare them, such as by shaking a metal can filled pennies. You can also simply make a loud, harsh noise with your own voice, and immediately forcibly remove the dog off the counter and out of the room. With consistency and patience, this should work.
