Most honda generators do NOT have an automatic choke. There is genereally a pull handle next to the air filter that is pulled out to start the engine. This seals off a mojority of airflow into the carberator allowing for a higher fuel/air ratio. Often the airflow can turn off the choke, but it is not design to be automatic.
