How does a generator work?

I need a clear explanation of generator operation.

An electromotive force is generated by moving loops of conductors through a magnetic field or alternating a magnetic field through loops of wire. The EMF generates voltage at the output.

A generator is built with an armature coil on a shaft which works as an axis. Magnets are provided around the cylindrical body of the generator and they are static. When the shaft is made to rotate,electrical energy is produced in between the shaft and the armature coil and the coil carries the electric power.

When Two magnets placed in opposite direction magnetic field is produced. Any chargemoving through magnetic field, force will be experienced. If the movement is a rotating coil,the two side of the coil will move in opposite direction and will generate voltage. since the rotation is in different direction, the voltage generated is sinusoidal. In this phenomena the genator works.
