It's a Volvo 850.

If your dash is smoking then you more than likely have a wiring issue like a short. You should not drive it. Have a mechanic check it out immediately.

Could be an electrical fire, or an issue with the ventilation. Either way you shouldn't drive the vehicle until it's been examined by a qualified mechanic.
