Drinking excessive amounts of water, drinking fluids with caffeine or alcohol, as well as diuretics can cause frequent urination. Medical causes include diabetes, urinary tract infection, overactive bladder, incontinence, and inflammation of the bladder wall. Women may feel the need due to pregnancy.
