Why are my Toshiba connections loose?

The most common reason for loose connections of Toshiba equipment (and this applies to almost any brand of electronic or non-electronic equipment as well), is failure of the user to securely connect the connectors into their ports. If you're certain you've done this correctly, check for abnormalities of the connectors (broken/bent pieces, etc)

They could be loose due to over wear. I mean that is what happened to my t.v. before. The connections felt loose.

Lap tops are the plight of mankind. Basically, if they're break you throw them away (uh, recycle). Usually, breaking them comes from being dropped. Get a real computer so you can maintain it.
