This is most likely either the radiator fan or a belt, such as the timing belt. Timing belts need to be replaced at least every 40,000 miles, so you may be hearing a loose belt. The radiator fan can sometimes slap against a loose piece of plastic under the hood, causing a noise also.

There is many noises like cranking first you have to check the point of the noise whether its coming from the engine check the both sides ups n down if the noise is coming from the timing belt side its mean that you have to replace the time belt baring or cranking noise can be of any baring.

It could be anything, you need to have it checked out. There could be something really seriously wrong with it.
