Most peoples decision to have breast reduction surgery is due to pain associated with having large breasts. Back pain is highly associated with people with large breasts. Also, if having large breasts has an emotional effect on somebody they will opt to have it.

Breast reduction is considered necessary when the weight of the breasts are cause severe back pain. You will know if you have a lot of otherwise unexplained back pain.

One should have breast reduction surgery if one is having significant back pain from the weight of the breasts. Deep grooves in the shoulders from bra straps can be indicators.
