Select a set that is either made from bone china or fine china. Look underneath a cup or any item to check. I would get a set that has at least four cups and matching saucers, some come with a matching tea pot which is nice and creamer and sugar bowl. Then decide on a color and design. Happy shopping.

Make sure that the tea set in made in America. I would like a unique tea pot. Something that would seep tea and keep it hot. The cups need to have saucers and tea biscuit plates to match.

Make sure it's worth the price you're paying. Make sure that that tea set is made out of sturdy China and isn't thin.
