Per pound, I'd like to know how long to cook this roast, and to what temperature I should set my oven?
If the roast is room temp the it should take about 32 for a 5 to 7 pound roast at 300°F. Add about 3 minutes per pound if the roast is cool. Make sure the center of the roast is 145°F to 150°F if you want it done medium.
You don't broil a Top Round roast, you'd bake it at 350* for 12-15 minutes per pound, covered in a roasting pan.
