Reel Lubricants that are brand Specific, like the Quantum Hot Sauce, Shimano Reels, ect... find and figure out how to open the Reel and apply the lubricant to the gears. Also some fishing reel gears look like screws, wipe any excess off and close the reel. If you carefully read then get the directions with the reel.

Reels should be lubricated very frequently. They should never be over lubricated. Reels should come with lubricating instructions and should recommend a specific brand of lubricant. Be sure to wipe off any excess lubricant. If you use oils that are not specifically for reels, they can do more damage.

Directions usually come with the reel. If not, you open up the reel and apply correct lubricant to the screw-like objects(gears). Don't use too much and wipe off any excess.
