Herpetic stomatitis is a disease caused by Herpes virus hominis or Herpes simplex virus (HSV). It is manifested by blistering and ulcers of mouth, decreased appetite with difficulty in swallowing, drooling, fever, and irritability. If not treated, it may develop to herpetic keratoconjunctivitis.

Herpetic stomatitis is an infectious disease of the mouth, caused by the herpes virus, which manifest itself with rash of blisters in the mouth, redness, possibly swelling, and very often with a very bed smell of the breath. It can spread to the skin of the mouth, or deeper to the throat and cause an angina.

Herpetic Stomatitis (HS) is a viral infection occurring in the mouth of children. Contact a health care provider if experiencing below symptoms: Mouth blisters on tongue/cheeks, decrease in eating, difficulty swallowing, drooling,fever, pain in mouth, and swollen gums. Treatment is with acyclovir medications. Complete recovery occurs in 10 days.

It is caused by a virus known as Herpes Virus Hominis (herpes simplex virus) & it is found in children. Its symptoms are Drooling, Pain in mouth, swollen gums, Fever & Difficult in swallowing. It is treated by acycliviral medications or acyclovir

Other sumptoms include fever, swelling in the mouth and painful swallowing. Antiviral medications are prescribed. A low acid liquid diet of cool foods is often recommended.
