What is the NORMAL temperament of a Rottweiler?

You are exactly right I owned a wonderful Rott I had small children at the time and he loved to be with them and sleep with them and never did anything thing wrong to them ever. People that train them to be mean are a nightmare they are very loving loyal dogs when treated properly.

Rottweilers are in the working classification. They are loyal and need to have a role in their pack, even when their pack consists of a human family. They are typically good with children and are great companion dogs, as well as guard dogs. They excel at training and love to work, although this breed isn't for everyone.
