Pentatomidae is a family of insects that includes stink bugs and shield bugs. They usually have a five segmented antennae and the body appears to be divided into five portions. This is one of the insect families that include shield shaped bugs and bugs in the "stink bug" family. They are considered agricultural pests and emit a foul smelling aroma when disturbed. They can produce huge families and destroy crops by eating and sucking plant juices. They are resistent to many pesticides.
