Well, it could mean many things. Some women have fibrocystic breasts, which on a mammogram show benign, normal lumps. It could also mean that there is a spot on the mammogram that the radiologist wants to keep an eye on, to see if it changes in the future. Basically, ask your doctor for more information about why it is abnormal

X-ray test of the breasts (mammary glands) is called a mammogram. A mammogram is done to help screen for or detect breast a lump or cancer. Many small tumors can be seen on a mammogram before they can be felt by a woman or her health professional. A mammogram with abnormality as said above is called a abnormal mammogram.
