Horses must be treated for ringworm by using medicated shampoos and topical antifungal medications. Everything that comes in contact with the infected horse has to be thoroughly washed.

Obviously, you can have a veternarian come to check your horses out. However, I do believe there are over the counter remedies that you can buy directly for yourself. I have seen medication like this are our local Tractor Supply store. It does not require any type of prescription to buy it.
