What could be wrong if my generator motor will not idle?

You might have a bad transmission, keeping the motor from stand by and slipping. Your engine could be bad, or it's possible that you have either a bad spark plug, ignition or a number of things. I would suggest having the electrical board checked, it's possible that a governor is causing your motor to die.

check the fuel line might be clogged or see if you have a automatic throtle control and turn it off

Well being an idle issue the screw maybe turned down too low or you have a fueling issue. Check the filter and line to check that it is getting enough.
