The most dangerous jobs involve working outdoors or around heavy machinery. Logging is dangerous due to falling timber, sharp saws, and remote locations. Firemen, and especially those who work on forest fires are exposed to risk from burns and smoke inhalation. Though crime is low in Canada, working in law enforcement always has risks.

I have a friend who works in the oil industry and he has always complained about how dangerous it is, but of course it pays very well. If I recall correctly, there are a decent amount of oil rig jobs on the West Coast of canada. Also, any type of big rig driving in the Winter months can be dangerous.

Logging, gold mining, piloting aircraft, tunneling (constructing underground tunnels to supply water) and fishermen earning a living on icy cold waters are the most dangerous jobs in Canada.
