Centerfolds are pages in the middle of a magazine that you can fold out and they show you a visual of something that is larger than a regular page.

Literally, the centerfold of the magazine is the absolute middle of the publication- Hugh Hefner's Playboy popularized utilizing this middle for fold out photos, usually of a sensual nature showing naked, or scantily clad models. "Centerfold" has come to mean a very good looking, sexy, woman or man, considered worthy of the centerfold photo of a high-end magazine.
