Yes, a hit and run accident is a felony if the person you hit was hurt in any way. You are held accountable for the accident and failing to report it. If you don't the consequences will be severe, and along the lines of vehicular assault or even man slaughter.

A hit and run accident within the U.S. varies from state to state. In some states it is a felony under certain circumstances. In Virginia a hit in run becomes a felony if someone is injured or killed, other wise it is a misdemeanor. It would be best to look up the laws specific to your state.

It depends on where you live. Also, it depends on the outcome of the accident and the extent of the damage to property and person(s).

It may depend on the state, however I believe it is considered a crime to do a hit and run accident.
