The ingestion of the antibiotic cream likely won't hurt him. Keep an eye on him and make sure he has no bowel problems if he ate the tube itself.

If the dog is having any symptoms at all I would take the dog right in to the vet. Most local poison control centres also give advice for pets, so try calling them, number should be inside your phone book front cover.

Monitor the pet's condition closely for a couple of hours. Encourage it to drink water and eat to encourage digestion of the neosporin. If your pet shows signs of illness, consider taking them to a vet for proper diagnosis and treatment. Your dog should be fine, but keep a close eye on him.

You should observe the pup,if he gets sick, you should call a vet. in most cases the dog will be ok. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so.

If the tube of neosporin was small, say 5 cc or so, I doubt if you have to worry. A 50 pound dog would require more neosporin to have toxicity problems. If you have questions still, call your local vet or the poison control hotline.

Just an update. She's eaten many more dangerous things than the neosporin to date. she eats everything! We try to keep PLENTY of dog toys and chews around to combat the problem.
