In my opinion Bells should be replaced every 5 years or at least checked for damages. But I know that this is not the case in reality. Car owners are just too busy and forget the importance of it. But safety should come first before it is too late and something happens.

Depending on the car belts should be replaced every 60-80 thousand miles. A higher performance car with a turbo engine should be replaced if driven hard every 40 thousand miles.

If you look in your car log for it's maintenance, you should find the answer there. However, usually you should change the belts at a frequence of two years. Of course, this is an average. If your doing a lot of millage with your car, let's say over 30,000 km a year, then replace it each year.

It is generally every 50k-80k miles. If they start to squeak or you see cracks forming then you would need to replace them.
