When I took the test a year ago it was seventy five dollars for the whole thing. That comes down to fifteen dollars per subject, and remember you might need to retake it if you do poorly.

It really varies on what state that you live in. I would recommend looking around your town to see if there are any free programs that help you with your ged test and also let you take the test for free.

Our GED test is offered at a local college and costs $50.00. Each section failed can be retaken for $10.00 each. I did a web search and found a few sites that may be able to offer the testing for free. I'm not sure how legitimate those sites are, but they may well be worth taking a look at!
