It really depends more on how the network is setup, rather than how the machine is. Some networks will require these changes and other will not.

This is required for network servers, laptop computers, and desktop computers at a minimum. It also includes handheld computers like Blackberries. It may or may not include smart-phones, depending on the protocol you are using.

I'd say about 60-70% of them. It really depends on what you're working with to start with. The IPSEC protocol can be a fairly difficult one to configure, and having the proper software base is important in ensuring that you're in full control once the protocol is implemented. It's best to use a consultant for this type of work

You first need to figure out how your network is set up. Some networks will require more changes than others. After you have figured out your network setup, you will then need to configure the software.

Any machine you are going to use on the IPSEC protocol will need to be configured in order to do so.

To configure IPSEC you may require at least two computers. Both the computers should be running windows 2000 server or above.
