"Pink eye" is another word for "conjunctivitis". If your cat looks like he or she has pink eye, the best thing to do is to have the cat seen by a vet. They will check to make sure there are no scratches on the eye, and then prescribe an antibiotic ointment or drop to cure the condition.

Keep them out of wind and irritants like pollen. The veterinarian will prescribe antibiotic drops to put into the cat's eyes.

That is for the vet to decide. Be very careful about home remedies for a pet without consulting a doctor. Things that are harmless to humans can make a cat ill or even kill it.

If its only from irritation flushing the eye with water is fine. For infection medicated eye drops or ointment are used. Alternatively, herbal treatments include Euphrasia, Aconite, Pulsatilla or Sanicula.

Pink eye in cats is treated the same way a person would treat their pink eye. A vet will give you medicine to treat it. Some believe that a feline pink eye condition can be spread to humans.
