it is a community fish and not agressive always, for this fish pH (7. 5 - 8. 5)should be maintained ,temperature should be between 70°F - 82°F (21°C - 28°C), hardness of water is 10° to 25° dH, a 20 gallon tank is minimal requirement.

Mollies require the same basic set up as other tropicals do. Make sure to set the tank in a location out of drafts and not in direct sunlight. Set the tank up well ahead of purchasing your fish, and do a few chemical tests on the water to insure that the water is ready to accept fish.

The minimum tank size for mollies is twenty gallons per fish. They prefer tall, planted tanks with ornaments to make them feel secure. The water should be cycled and alkaline with a pH of 7. 5. Add a little salt (1/2 teaspoon per five gallons) to keep them healthy.

You need distilled water, an air pump, a heater, gravel, a bubbler, aquarium filter, tank light, plastic plants, and flake food.

Well mollys are a tropical fish so the water always needs to be warm somewhere between 60-70. Get a good temp gauge, heater, filter, and a good enviroment.
