Treatment will depend on the type of mite, so see a vet to determine the correct treatment. Mites don't spread disease exactly, they cause itching/inflamation which can trigger other disorders.
You should get some pesticide cream. That will help take them off or also take some lemon juice and soak it onto the dog's coat. That will help get rid of mites.
