Meningitis is a bacterial infection in the spinal cord. It can be contracted like any other bacterial infection, through air or contact.

Meningitis is a communicable disease that is passed along the same lines as the common cold. It is especially contagious in children who tend to drink after another and get closer to others than adults do. It is extrememly contagious and anyone who has been exposed should be checked for this disease.
