Inside plant. Should fertilize every 3 weeks with good quality orchid fertilizer in the spring and summer. Don't fertilize during the winter. Plant like damp soil and misting. Feeding is not necessary as there are usually enough insects in the house. Likes bright indirect light but not hot afternoon sun.

Grow the Nepenthes Alata indoors in a window with direct morning sun for best results. Avoid hot sun during summer. Keep the soil damp at all times. You can use fertilizer. Use a high quality orchid or bromeliad fertilizer.

It needs to be kept in a pot that can be drained, and have soil mix that is well drained. You must be careful, because the roots will rot, if they have too much water. Just be careful to never let the soil be completely dry.

This plant likes 12 hours of sunlight, warm temperatures around 80 degrees and moist soil but not wet feet. A perfect growing condition would be a terrarium where they can have tropical like humidity. If you don't want to go that route, try misting. Propagate with cuttings like you would ivy or any vine-type plant.
