You should do a lot of stretching exercises to increase your flexibility. You should work to strengthen your leg, stomach, and back muscles. You should enter the back handspring with your eyes open so you can see what you're doing. Most of all, practice, practice, practice! Good luck and have fun!

To do fast back handsprings, you must have tight form and jump hard. If your legs are apart or your arms aren't tight to your ears, the handspring will be sloppy and difficult. You also need to make sure that you are jumping diagonally backwards and up - not just up or back. Good luck!

To gain speed in doing back handsprings, start out with a brisk run, and you can even do a round-off before going into the back handspring. This way you have momentum, and more force to be faster.

The speed comes from your power. Try doing exercises to build your muscles strength. Work towards building the muscles in your legs. Stretching exercises can also help you with improving your back handsprings.

Majority of people face fear when performing the handsprings. Best to control your mind set and practice multiple times at home with a chair
