Does stress lower your platelet count?

I know that stress has other ways of making you sick.

Stress predisposes you to illnesses that will lower your platelet count. Viruses can cause a lower platelet count. Oppositely, presence of a condition such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus cause a lower platelet count.

Stress as a result of having certain illnesses can indeed lower the body's platelet count. Some conditions of the body that leads to stress then lower the platelet count is when there are blood clots that are forming inside the body. Platelets, with their primary function of ceasing bleeding than becomes lower as they would tend the blood clots.

Stress can do a number of harmful things to your body like make you break out and cause your hair to fall out, it can possibly lower platelet count.
