Question by  interstellarsurfer (35)

Do kids learn anything in the last 100 days of school?

Aren't they focused on standardized testing and leaving by then?

Well, the average state only have kids in for 180 days required (not counting breaks or weekends)so 100 days is a very long time! That's over three months. In most schools there's usually only maybe a week or two after standardized tests are completed. I do think it's also a mistake that schools should only teach to the test.

100 days is a significant amount of time. Even though it might seem standardized testing and imminent release might be a distraction, teachers have a year long curriculum to teach.

Yes, they do. They learn alot especially in 1st grade and up. They have to learn because most schools end in June and about 100 days from that is in either December, January, or Febuary and you know they are learning at that time. They wouldn't be playing around AS YOU asked in your question. In total, advance, you're welcome.
