Someone turning 30 was born in 1980, so why not do an '80s theme party? Everyone comes in costume, dances to '80s music, and eats cake frosted in DayGlo colors.

I suggest taking a trip to a vacation spot of your choice with a few of your closest friends for a few days. Choose a place you have never been to before or a place that you love visiting.

The most important thing is having a good mix of guests and people that the birthday person wants to spend time with. Finding a theme to go with will always make for a special evening.

Road trip to Vegas with your closest friends would the best birthday party ever. If you can't get away for that long, I say rent out a place, gather your friends, family members, co workers, and just have something special, like a band or at least a comedian, so that it will be a night they'll never forget.
