You can give a dog Pedialyte avoid dehydration if the dog is sick. It is very important to prevent dehydration in both pets and people. Giving Pedialyte shouldn't be a substitute for getting to a vet, if needed.

Yes. It shouldn't be given all the time, but often is used when dogs have had profuse vomiting/diarrhea to replace lost electrolytes. Contact your veterinarian if your dog is ill to be sure it is not serious. You may also inquire as to the proper amount and time frame to give your dog Pedialyte.

Never give your dog anything unless it's okay with your vet. If your dog needs some nutritional supplements try Nutri-cal. It's a molasses tasting paste that comes in a tube. You can find it at any Pet Store. You give your dog a small amount based on weight and it gives your dog energy and nutrients.

Yes you can, and it can be added to their water, or offered separately. You can pour some into a syringe and give my mouth, or add to the water dish. If the dog is dehydrated, use the syringe until it wants to drink be itself. Usually they like it.
