Can a pediatric sinus infection cause seizures?

A sinus infection in and of itself is not likely cause a seizure. A high fever associated with a sinus infection (or another illness) could cause a febrile seizure. Febrile seizures, while being very scary, generally do not have any long term health effects. Report any seizures to the pediatrician immediately.

No, not normally. However, it is possiable that you child had a sideeffect of medications that were prescribed to treat a sinus infection. .

Yes, a sinus infection can cause seizures. The main culprit is the bacteria which multiples over time and a poor immune system. It is better to take medication to stop bacterial growth and try to improve your child's immune system.

A pediatric sinus may cause seizures because seizure may have been triggered by and abscess that was started in the mollers and cause dental problems. Sinus infection also causes bad breath which blocks the fluid and it smells. It will be better to go to a pedriatician and consult him
