Sessile polyps are usually benign but this doesn't mean they can never be cancerous. Sessile polyps are differentiated from pedunculated polyps by the fact that they are flat in appearance whereas pedunculated polyps have a stem of sorts. Both can be benign and both can become malignant.

Most polyps are not dangerous. Over time they may grow and can become cancerous. That is when you will need to see your doctor.

If it is an adenocarcinoma it is too tiny to be considered dangerous. However, if it has another histology it would be more worrisome.

It might be, or it might not. It depends on the size and location, as well as the tissue makeup. The only way to know for sure is to consult with your doctor.
