Will taking Paxil and Buspar together cause a false positive on a drug test?

You will have a true positive for both drugs; however, you will not have a false positive for any other medications or illegal drugs. Since these two drugs are often prescribed together, for depression and anxiety, respectively, this is good news, as neither drug is a controlled substance according to the DEA.

I think if you are taking narcotics and hard drugs that will show up on the test. I would let the nurse know what you are taking prescription wise. I don't think these will cause a false test.
