Will one pair of bolt cutters cut through everything or do you need different size bolt cutters?

I would recommend getting different sized bolt cutters to do specific cutting jobs. But, a good pair of large heavy duty bolt cutters could do for many tasks.

Like most other hinged tool, bolt cutters are designed to cut a certain range of thickness. You need to consider what things you will most likely be cutting. Then just purchase ones that will do the job. It's better to get a too big pair as opposed to too small.
