One likely reason would be if your cat had ingested rodent poison. But whatever the reason, it is highly likely to be very serious. Get to the vet fast.

You cat may be throwing up blood from an ulser in its stomach. It could also just be from the flem coming up.

OH MY GOD, if your cat is throwing blood take her to the vet ASAP , this is either worms in the stomach or Hemomises, if that contentious it might need blood transfer
