Question by  Shane (36)

Why won't my dog nurse her newborn pups?

I'm really worried about those puppies. Why won't she let them nurse?

She has rejected them, some dogs do this. The actual cause is unknown, it just happens sometimes, most often with first-time mothers. You have to hand-feed with bottles & formula for puppies, and stimulate them to go to the bathroom. If you are not up to this, please take them to a vet that will take them.

She may notice that they are not healthiest pups. She might be tired and doesn't have any milk production. She could be malnourished also.

She may be sick or have infected nipples. She needs to see a vet. he can doagnose her correctly and get her pups some milk. In the meantime, bottle feed the puppies.
