Why in the world will my tv will not turn off?

Try to change your remote controllers battery. If that won't help, plug the tv off and take it to the tv repairer. Something is wrong with its power supply.

Perhaps the on/off button of the unit or the remote control is jammed. Perhaps it is an alien conspiracy to infiltrate your mind with subliminal messages.

Perhaps the on/off switch is broken. What exactly are you attempting to do when you turn it off? More importantly, why? It's not like the old days when broadcasters went home at midnight and shut everything off. You can stay up all night and watch celebrities like Suzanne Somers and Tony Little.

This defect may be due to the damage of power IC or the power off switch or button may be damaged such that it will not reach the sensor switch properly. Try replacing any of these.
